The camera as a whole even has a huge issue when you get into tighter places, with it spazzing out.Įach level has it’s own challenges, hidden items, and all of the things you’d hope to see in a game like this. The camera is also way too low for it’s own good, making going uphill on anything an uncomfortable experience. Jumps never feel right, bumping ANYTHING knocks you down, and it takes way too much effort to even get up a ramp. However, with that being said, if the developers get another innings, I would play a SkateBIRD 2 without a moments hesitation, and I would fully expect that the developers would deliver having had this experience. Your bird seems way too heavy for it’s own good. SkateBIRD is a brilliant idea and it takes a big, heaving swing at it. The biggest reason comes by the controls and how it feels to move the bird.

So now that we got what I like out of the way…Skatebird does not play well. Lots of ways to customize your bird and even more to unlock, very nice. Human Skateboarding games have reached a new level with Skatebird Take flight, somewhat, as you flap like a bird, flip like a bird, grind like a bird, and skate like a bird in this adorable indie game from the developer of Hot Tin Roof and Spartan Fist. There’s a lot of clothing options, from hats, neckwear, capes, belts, etc. What breed do you want? Pigeon supremacy for me. Gives those nice 90’s/early 2000’s nostalgia feels. The THPS games always had top of the line OSTs, and I’m glad a game aping that franchise has music that is just as good. I loved it as a kid, I love it as an adult. First up, I’m always going to love games that have the whole “you’re small and normal every day objects are giant” theme. I love, love, love the presentation of Skatebird.
